Annette Addo-Yobo is a passionate advocate, speaker, and the first foreign-born and Ghanaian Miss Texas. An immigrant who came to the United States as a toddler with her parents, two suitcases, and a few hundred dollars, Annette’s journey is one of resilience, determination, and purpose.
With personal experience as a caretaker for her mother and an advocate for her autistic brother, Annette is committed to disability inclusion and ensuring that marginalized communities have a voice. She speaks nationally on topics such as youth education, disability rights, leadership, and women’s empowerment in the workplace.
Annette is also preparing for her next chapter as a law student, aiming to use her legal education to further her impact in advocacy and policy.
